A selection of Le Rougetel's pre 2006 work. As early as 2002 with the Red Blue Yellow series he began tagging some of his work as 'Primitive'. Paintings like 'September 11' 'Just Do It Osama', 'Allah Woods' 'Fuck!' 'It's Gilbert & George!' and 'In Search of Andy' are direct reactions to events and other artists' work. 'Madonna and Child' #s 1&2 tackle an old subject in a messy Cy Twombly way. 'It's All Just Art, Ask the Ants' was an ambitious but rather timid installation that Le Rougetel put together for his final year show at St Martins in 2003.
