PAINTING: 'RBY Cafe Society' 2002-2009
These paintings are a re-working of Green Landscape, RBY#2 and RBY#3 and RBY Cafe Society #s 1, 2, 3 and 4 from 2002. Cafe society is a feeling of urban hedonism in action at its best and worst. In 2006 Le Rougetel over painted the 'originals' in white gloss and hung them in his hall. A year or so later he electric-sanded them down. In March 2009 he marker penned them.
