SCULPTURE: 'The Coke Party' 2010       >»

‘The Coke Party’ lived in the Rootstein Hopkins Memorial Parade Ground at Chelsea College of Art 11-28 June 2010.

The public reaction was 'Awesome!'

Le Rougetel's installation of gold heads, wood, mirrors and aluminium sculptures glistened, shimmered and blinded in the sunshine and sang like an orchestra in the rain. Did it ask fundamental questions of the universal nature of humanity, and reflect upon the emotional struggles that afflict the heavily drug dependent nature of London society? Maybe it was a self portrait installation or intended to comment upon ritual.

All we do know is that Le Rougetel said under his breath one day:

"I wanted to dedicate something to Louise Bourgoise and 'The Coke Party' did the job."
